My stay was 24th - 27th December. Prior to my stay, the hotel staff team responded quickly to my enquiries about bar and restaurant opening times during the Christmas bank holidays. Upon arrival, the staff team were very accommodating and friendly. We arrived by train with bikes and were moved to a ground floor room to make storing and using our bikes easier, which we really appreciated 🙏😊 I booked a dockside room with a view of the River Mersey which I enjoyed - until the mist descended on Boxing Day! 😆 It was lovely to look out at the view when having my morning cuppa and relaxing in the hotel room. Our room was clean and had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay including a kettle to make hot drinks, bath & shower, hairdryer and good heating and ventilation. The hotel is centrally located for visiting family and local attractions and enough distance away from city centre bars and clubs to be quiet enough to get a good night’s sleep The hotel has a really pleasant, spacious bar with an outdoor seating area with a painted mural, fairy lights and a view of the River Mersey. The light breakfast and full English breakfast options were both good and set us up for an active day. The breakfasts also had vegetarian, gluten free and decaf options available. Check in and check out was quick and efficient and hotel staff were always available when we needed anything. A thoroughly enjoyable stay over Christmas. Thank you to all of the staff team. We’re looking forward to returning for our New Year’s Eve visit to Liverpool 🥳

The room was very clean and adequately maintained, bath tub certainly made for a relaxing time. Basic amenities such as coffee and tea were provided, as well as TV; however, we made use of none of them. The breakfast was good: buffet continental breakfast included croissants, sliced bread (fresh or toasted), fruit, assorted cereals and pre-packaged waffles. It also included butter and chocolate spread, 2 types of fruit juices, coffee and English breakfast upon order. The location was excellent for those who are looking at weekends spent at the conference centre close-by.

Staff were friendly and supportive. I had emailed to ask if it was OK to bring my bike to keep in my room (it was), but I didn't ask for a ground floor room as I assumed there was a lift. When I arrived I was booked into a first floor room, but with no lift I would have struggled to get the bike up the stairs. The receptionist was able to move me into a ground floor room, which I REALLY appreciated. The shower was really powerful and the bed was comfortable. Overall, a good base for cycling around the Liverpool area.

The property was very good, good car park even though very pricey. Not hooked on the food. Had sausages & mash. Sausages were old and dry. Peas were hard. Potatoes were mashed and dry. The waffle was hard. Best part of the whole meal was the ice cream and red wine. It’s quite a letdown for a restaurant. Ate out for the duration of my stay. The room was very clean. Only downside is the shower over the bath, bit cramped. Not good if you are elderly.
